JAKSMA Foundation works with young people who have ability but limited access to opportunity. Our programs focus on education, mentorship, and talent development, particularly in underserved communities across West Africa.

We do not replace schools or families. We create pathways that help young people move from potential to possibility.

Our Core Services

Education Access & Academic Support

JAKSMA identifies academically promising students in underserved communities and supports their educational development through targeted enrichment and guidance.

Our work includes:

Identifying students with academic potential
Providing academic enrichment and learning support
Guiding students toward viable education pathways through partner institutions

This service is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.

Mentorship & Leadership Development

We believe talent grows when young people are supported by guidance, example, and encouragement.

Through mentorship, JAKSMA helps young people:

Build confidence and self-belief
Develop leadership and life skills
Make informed decisions about education, careers, and personal growth

Mentorship is central to helping young people see beyond their immediate circumstances.

Talent Identification & Development (Education and Sport)

Many young people possess exceptional talent that goes unseen due to lack of exposure or structure.

JAKSMA:

Identifies talent through community outreach and clinics
Supports early-stage development in academics and sport
Connects talented youth to training, coaching, and educational opportunities

Our approach recognizes that academic and athletic development can reinforce each other.

Community-Based Bootcamps

JAKSMA runs short, focused bootcamps designed to combine learning, discipline, and personal growth.

Bootcamps typically include:

Academic and learning skills
Life skills and leadership development
Physical activity, teamwork, and discipline

These programs serve as entry points for identifying talent and supporting early development.

Pathway and Referral Support

JAKSMA does not operate schools or academies. Instead, we help young people and families navigate available opportunities.

We provide:

Referrals to partner schools, academies, and programs
Guidance on applications and transitions
Support in moving from talent identification to sustainable opportunity

Partner institutions may include local schools, academies, and international education providers.
